Spaghetti sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb meat (sausage, ground beef, etc.)
  • 2oz anchovies
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 28oz diced tomatoes
  • 16oz tomato sauce
  • 6oz tomato paste
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 bunch fresh basil
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper
  • Spaghetti

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop vegetables. In a large sauce pan, cook meat, anchovies, onion, garlic, and bell pepper until meat browns and vegetables are softened, ~20min. Drain grease. 
  2. Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Add in spices.
  3. Simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste with red pepper, salt, and pepper.

Really hits the spot when I was craving spaghetti and meatballs.
