INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbs brown sugar
- 6 tbs unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2/3 cup soy milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 large egg
Thoughts
When making these scones, I cut the scones into 8 wedges, and split each wedge in 3 pieces to make 24 mini scones. The cooking time did not change for smaller scones and I remembered to add the egg wash on top. These came out lighter than when I added blueberries.
