INGREDIENTS
- 24 Brussels sprouts
- 12 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- Cayenne
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400 deg F.
- Trim ends of brussels sprouts
- Whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, cayenne.
- Cut bacon in half and brush with maple syrup mixture.
- Wrap each brussels sprout with a strip of bacon and place seam side down on baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the sprouts with the maple syrup mixture.
- Bake until bacon is crispy, ~20min.
Thoughts
I baked the brussels sprouts separately for 15min to soften them before adding the bacon. It ended up not super crispy or caramelized, maybe next time I’d use thinner bacon slices.
