Teriyaki Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 heads broccoli, in florets 
  • 2.5lb (~4) chicken thighs, 1″ pieces
  • 4-6 garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tbs sesame oil
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • Green onions
  • Red chili

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut broccoli into florets and steam.
  2. Mince garlic, cube chicken, and mix together sauce.
  3. In a large pan, fry chicken until browned.
  4. Add in garlic and cook until golden. Add in sauce and reduce 2-3min. Stir in broccoli.

Thoughts
This recipe is very saucy. The sauce can be further reduced with corn starch or the extra sauce makes tasty teriyaki rice / noodles. Next time, I may also add red chilies for some spiciness.
