INGREDIENTS
Sauce
- 2.5 tbs soy sauce
- 3 tbs honey
- 1.5 tbs Oyster sauce
- 1.5 tbs Chinese cooking wine
- 2 tbs water
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbs oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1lb tenderloin/ flank /sirloin /strip, thinly sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix sauce ingredients in bowl. Prepare garlic and onion. Thinly slice beef.
- In a large pan, heat oil on high heat.
- Saute garlic and onion for 1 minute, constantly stirring.
- Add in beef and cook for 1 min. Remove beef and onions from heat.
- Turn heat to medium and pour in sauce for 1min, until syrupy.
- Add beef and onions back and mix with sauce for 1min.
Thoughts
This is very fast to toss together and very tasty. It’s on the sweet side but reminiscent of Panda Express’s black pepper beef dish. It pairs well with rice and veggies.
